Cataract Falls Hike (Video)

Here’s a 3-minute video I put together with photos from a hike I did a few days ago.

My primary goal in putting this together was to learn how to use the pan and zoom features in Camtasia 8 – a video editing program that I recently purchased.  I wanted to see figure out how to create a “constantly moving” feel to the vid by moving around still images I took.

Overall, I like this software.  Once you figure out a few of the basics, it’s relatively easy to create videos like this.   And that’s pretty cool considering this program was originally created as a screen-capture program.

One of the really nice things about Camtasia is how it has what you need, and not too much else.  By minimizing the options and streamlining the interface, they make this program easier to use than products such as Sony Vegas.

No, it’s a video editing program that costs around $300. I got an upgrade special for $97. It’s one of the best screen-capture programs for PC’s out there. Link here:
